Hello peeps!! Hope all are doing great! So here we are to bring in the New Year 2018 in style 🙂
Guess what? We were invited by JW Marriott at the inaugural of their new set up called Playground! We were delighted to accept the offer and it’s our pleasure to write  a review for them!
Playground boasts of its main elements – New York inspired Street Art by Delhi Street Art, Eclectic Music, Small Plates Menu, city’s most chic speakeasy space which is accessible by invitation only, classic cocktails, full leather loungers designed by Timothy Oulton
& The Food Truck, Playground offers unforgettable experiences to its guests.
The space is apt for day time meetings and by the evening you can unwind with over 40 brands of fine crafted beers and our signature cocktails curated especially by our Expatriate Mixologist from Tel Aviv, Tzvika Furman.
Coming on to the most exciting part “ The Brunch.” They has curated a special menu including their signature dishes and it was just wow. Though we are vegetarian and could not try most of the dishes but our friends were really praising everything. They got everything on the menu one after the other.
The very first thing on the table was the Artisinal Burrata! It was an amazing dish and presented just beautifully.
Balik Salmon was the next wonderful dish on our table! We can just say that it looked beautiful and tempting, got some amazing reviews from our counterparts. It was a clean plate within seconds. You need to visit and try this dish.
Tapas succeeded quickly and it looked satiating. The mushrooms on the cibatta were full of flavours with the perfect amount of truffle oil. Not a big fan of mushrooms but this was appetising.

Gambas Al Ajillo was next on the menu. As tricky as the name is but the dish looked simple with pink prawns.
We would get excited seeing a vegetarian dish coming our way. This time it was the Falafal Sliders. They were camouflaged as  mini burgers but a creative way of presenting a kind of mezze platter. My mouth is all watery as am writing about it. It’s a must try dish on the menu. Loved the chickpea cake and the Lebanese salad.
Coolers of course were a part of our appetising meal. Here’s a glimpse. We could give away the names easily but why not leave it for you guys to guess. Also better plan a visit to try them on. They were quite refreshing and fitting in perfect welcoming the summer season.
Then came the purple potato croquetas. Unfortunately the last vegetarian dish on the menu. These were exciting by the name but fine to taste. We would have loved a little more flavour in them but over all decent. But what stood out for us was the yogurt tahini dip that came on the side.
All in all a good experience. I fell for the food while Parul couldn’t stop admiring the ambience. Also the hospitality is definitely pulling us to visit them again soon and we believe you should too.
Until next time we leave you with as they say
                                     The world is your
                                        is your world 😉

He is brave, he is funny

yet wise

In his simplicity

His honesty lies

He is inspiring, he is humble

Corrects you when you fumble

He guides you always

wants you to rise

He acts all cool

But carefully spies

Spies to keep you on the right way

He may get troubled to keep you happy

But he wouldn’t ever say

Wants you to be smart and selfless

He is the one

Who takes you out of the mess 😉

He is a friend he is a guide

It’s on his strong shoulders

You would have had the best horse ride 😉

He considers responsibilities before his will

His duties before his dreams

He will not let go of his smile

No matter how tired he seems

He is courageous but watchful

Watchful so that you learn

Wisdom is what

He wants you to earn

He treats his daughter like a princess

His son like a star

He holds the family together

And doesn’t let go anyone far

He is one- of -a-kind

Depth of his love is not easy to find

He is our hero our Dad

Who truly rules our heart and mind 🙂

How’s it going foodies? We know the heat the killing but we never give up food :). That’s why we are “Missfoodies”. Our today’s blog is specially for the lovely fathers out there!! As I had mentioned in my last blog our latest addition (Parul’s daughter- our little Miss foodie) to the missfoodies family is turning 9 months and it’s her 1st Father’s Day! Wow!! That calls for a celebration, what say peeps!! It surely does. The relation between daughters and fathers is truly special and only daughters can make it out of this world. :). So you guessed it right. To make this day special we have a super easy cake recipe which even fathers can make for their kids and vice versa. :). But we don’t even want our fathers to be binge eating and get into that indulgence!! Well to satisfy their sweet tooth but to keep the portion size in check, we made this yummy and easy Vanilla Mug Cake! This little cake is moist, delicious and just perfect to satisfy those sweet jitters!!

You can top it up with just anything that you feel like. Be it gems, chocolate shavings, icing. It can be really creative and according to your wish! So go ahead scratch your brain make that best cake. All is takes it is just 90 seconds in the microwave and you will have a little mug o’ heaven :). One of the most important tips I can offer if you’re going to make this cake is to make sure that your mug is at least 14 ounces or it may “bubble” over while baking in the microwave. Watch that mug closely!! If you use a big enough mug there’s nothing to worry about. Our cake took up about 3/4 of the cup, which was perfect. So try on this easy peasy and the quickest cake recipe we have ever tried. And trust me it just comes out perfect. We couldn’t believe ourselves until we took the first bite! It was marvellous!

We did not add the icing because it was sweet enough without it but you can always pour some of it to make it more richer and creamier! So if you haven’t planned for ur daddy as yet, then go ahead and surprise him with this simple and quicky recipe! We leave you with the beautiful poem as you must have seen above written by Parul from our Princess’s side for her ‘My daddy strongest’.

So dont wait and start to bake 🙂 Have a great day!!!

Review: Delhi Club House

Hi friends. The winters finally seem to hit Delhi. Though yet not so strongly but we are happy to get some warm clothes out at last. Oh God ! This weather calls for some food. Our life revolves around just food food and food. What to do. We are born to eat and have to keep up to our name: Miss foodies 😉

So as we talked of the sangam courtyard which has come up again quiet well, we continue to do so today as well. We are actually enjoying visiting this side more as we believe somewhere it is still away from all the crowd. Its getting talked about but thankfully not getting as crowded for now and we wish it remains the same.

So we introduce you people to Delhi club House today. This one is yet again by none other than Marut Sikka. It is in the lime light for this very own reason. After success of his previous food magic places he seems to be playing quiet well yet again. Comfort food with dallops of nostalgia in an ambience inspired by look of grand old club with colonial roots is a complete win win. The good choice of music helps enhancing your experience.

What we had: The menu is limited but quiet interesting with some great food. As winters hitting, specially the chilly evenings made us order some hot tomato and red pepper soup. Its surely creamy but satiating and as the name suggests the pepper surely hits your throat. We loved it.

Then came the rawa cutlet (Madras club). The menu is actually interesting with the highlights of variations. These were warm and crunchy served with coconut and red chutney. The tinch of rye (indian spice) adds to the flavour.

Then came the yam galouti kebab. Simply rich and delicious melting in the mouth. Must order for a happy palate. Then we ordered the veg kakori (Mahomed bagh club) These mini ones with white sesame on the outside are soft inside.

For the mains we ordered Khorma biryani from Nizam club. It was as satiating as it looks. We relished it thoroughly. Along came the Amritsari kulcha, channa (Amritsar Club). This was divine too. Hot and spiced channas were too good to resist.

Do we recommend : yes absolutely. The place has great atmosphere with club classic food specially for a weekend dinner. The place is lively with great music. The prices are decent for the portions and satiating meals. If you dine in late you will surely enjoy moving yourself a bit with the music and lively ambience. The service may take little while but you can always enjoy chatting until then. The limited menu may make you think of visiting again but we feel theres still something about the place for we are surely visiting back soon.

Review: the fatty bao

Hi foodie friends. How you all doing. This time the festive season has kept us really really busy. Sakshi is going nuts with our two cute nut bags full of joy. And I am of couse with nut bags not leaving a single chance to trouble her. Trying new food and reviewing is always on our to do list. Though I am trying to keep away just little bit from my sweet tooth and unhealthy eating habbits as  wedding bells ringing in our family this Christmas. Leaving space for the amazing and yummilicious wedding food. Haha.

All our Delhi friends and the ones visiting Delhi ,this ones for you all. The Sangam courtyard ,has been known for its sangam movie hall has come around pretty well. The movie hall itself got this new and clean look that we have already enjoyed couple of movies out there. But this complex has much more to offer now in terms of food. Quite a number of restaurants have opened up,few being chains of restaurants  already around Delhi and few are young and new. So as you must have guessed we are here to share our take on one amongst the new ones called The fatty bao.

This much visited and quiet talked about place in town needs to be savoured and enjoyed. The cheerful ambience at the fourth floor, roof top with the Chinese décor has something about it. The catchy part about the ambience is their use of cute pretty decorations and lighting. The panda painted wall with fancy  butterflies and grasshoppers decorated on the lights are different from usual but at the same time nice and lively. The seats by the window are our favourite places to tingle our taste buds.

Coming down to What we had: Their closed buns- Shengjian Bao, filled with spicy cottage cheese and spring onion are simply to die for. Your feel great biting these little savoury and steamy  buns. They are a must have. We remember calling these four times as one portion consists of only four. If you are a big foodie like us you wont mind having a plate alone 😉 These baos stand up to the their name.

Then came their chilli little potatoes. If you are a potato lover , I bet not bigger than Sakshi though 😉 you will love these. These mini meal mini potatoes are well balanced with the spices. With little on spicier side they are a win win too. Then we ordered are favourite things to eat out.

Minced vegetable and water chestnut Dimsums. Nice and light ,they are good to go. Then what struck us in the menu was Gyoza, filled with spinach, bok choy and corn are the only option for vegetarian but tasteful and healthy.

Being sushi lovers we called for their rainbow vegetable roll. This is a must have. On our visit with family my Dad in law specially liked the sushi and mentioned that it is good to see more of vegetables than rice unlike at other places. This colourful platter can surely keep your eyes and palate happy.

Then come their open Bows. Amongst veg options the one those stood out for us were the ones with eggplant. Though fried but flavourful. After all this we couldn’t resist from ordering the Red Thai curry. Its as tempting as it looks 🙂

Do we recommend– Yes we do. A little pricey but good food and ambience will surely make up for it and leave you satiating. The veg options are limited comparatively but nicer and tastier veggie friends. So don’t worry and go chill with your friends and family.

Review: Cha-Shi

How many times have you been out on random plans with your bestie? Specially then, when she is on a roller coaster ride with two few months old naughty boys. She has been striving hard to get out of the house and so are you as already your bestie time is now divided for all the good reasons. The restlessness of the two after a lot of discussion eventually was executed into a plan. The mission was to shop for her as she was in deep need of change of wardrobe, more of talking out the calories and less of eating. Mind the words. Read between the lines. After rambling , dawdling and literally voyaging, the weary two landed in middle of mirthful and gleeful ambiance. The ambiance they have always loved and to bite in their favorite culinary art. They settled comfortably for a quick bite. Quick because the art is always pricey and girls are very calculative. After the most awaited munch which was swiped from the plate in two minutes, the real selves were on to play. The real tittle-tattle began along with falsification for the small portion offered. Well that’s the Art right. But as the mood was animated they dint bother about anything and the culinary art was repeated along with some acerbic and appetizing meal. The delectable meal along with tittle-tattle just dint seemed to be ending until the portions were swiped off leaving the platters as bare as they ever were and rest is all history with a glimpse of culinary art below :

What we had: Starting from the first left pic. Water chestnut and corm dim sums. They are done amazingly well. What we love the most is their outer covering which is so thin. The filling of course as the name suggests makes them a must order. Their chili sauce is amazing too. The only problem is the portion size. They serve you four little bites which do not leave you satiating. Because they are so delicious you have to order more. Next came our Zucchini tomato and cucumber Sushi. It is done pretty well and a delight for sushi lovers. The ginger tops it well. Stir fried asian vegetables to go with their yummy tom yum fried rice crackers. This combo makes a wholesome meal with goodness of vegetables but also keeping the spices and flavor intact. But I guess we both were still not done. And because Sakshi finds her meal incomplete without noodles we also called for stir fried vegetable noodles. Oh and how can I forgot my love for drinks. The water melon juice is hands down a refreshing delight.

Talking of Ambiance, the best thing about this place is the open space seating in midst of the mall. Considering that they are situated in Emporio which is still not over crowded.. it does give a decent amount of privacy and does not get too intruding also while you’re eating. Good food with lively surroundings and catching up besties gossip cannot get better than this. Service is good and staff is on their toes to make you happy with some awesome food and good presentation.

Do we recommend: Of course yes. As we mentioned the food is pricey but worth every bite. Yes you may not be happy with the portions size but you will surely be left satiating until the last bite.

Happy Birthday Miss Foodies – Nutty cream cheese FUN sandwiches

Feliz cumpleanos a Miss Foodies, Feliz cumpleanos a nosotras. Hi foodie friends. Its 3rd of may yet again and here we complete 2 years of good food, reviews, fun, number of increasing likes, comments, food walks as Delhi comes alive with food fests, learning and what not.

BUT I feel immense pleasure in sharing with you people that in this last year Miss foodies has actually grown in size as well. Hmmm confused and wondering what I mean? I understand. We keep on gaining inches and guess you wondering what’s so special about announcing it. Hahahaha if you really thinking that then lmao 😉 Friends this year Miss Foodies welcomes two new members on board. Now I want a huge round of applause from all you guys across the world as I announce…. My bestie, partner in crime, partner in hogging on food Sakshi is now blessed with two little baby boys. OMG , so as Miss Foodies has grown like in real with two bundles of joy as we complete two beautiful years of this journey I am excited, going nuts, jumping around and feeling awesome sharing with you guys. It goes without saying that today’s post just revolves around our two little members, may be surprising Sakshi to what this very post has in store for her.

And my dear friends specially all the mommy’s out there and of course all the Daddy’s too who love to cook for their kids. This one is real special for you all. As this post gets you some fabulous presentation ideas to pamper your kids with. This scorching summers make your kids eat their favourite cartoon characters. Sounds interesting, doesn’t it? To begin with cars could be a great idea as you just saw. Angry birds is their all time favorite 😉

But all this while I was wondering what is Sakshi going to do when the two naughty boys wont listen to her at once. I got the solution for that too. Aunt Parul that is of course me is going to make them meet their girl friend 😉 and I bet they just won’t go anywhere. Well well well I am surely going to spoil them and rest leave on Sakshi to take care of. Am I going to be dead or am I going to be dead once this post goes live.

But no worries if Sakshi gets too mad at me for spoiling them, I will spoil them even more and teach them the secret Sandwich recipe to present to their Mom. Here it comes 😉 😉 😉

Hahaha…… But if Sakshi pampers me I may be nicer and teach them some cute stuff along.

Foodie friends hope you all finding this interesting. For kids you got to be kids too. I am sure you all will agree. Though I am not talking out of experience yet but I am sure the two naughty bundles will help me gain some. Coming to the recipe. It’s very easy because major effort would be needed in the presentation. That too is quiet easy if you love exploring just like we do. So get yourself started to make your naughty bundles eat healthy in just the form they like. Here we go:

The Grub Fest

Hurry up foodies . I m sure you all know what this post is all about. So specially all the Delhi foodie friends and also those who are co incidentally holidaying in Delhi at this time it’s rush hour ….. To the grub fest … No wonder like all other things these food fiesta are becoming a trend in Delhi but as food doesn’t hurt who minds it right . Getting so many cuisines under one shed is all a foodie needs.

So we were there too last evening with our very own Tdfc group. The Delhi foodie group and it was lot of fun. As a food gang we laughed, enjoyed and  caught attention for all the reasons and of course ate ate and ate. Let me quickly take you through our walk at the food fiesta:

After looking around and settling our minds with where to start from, we landed at EN- The Japenese restaurant. Their well done sushi gave us all the reasons to relish and order more. The veg sushi was perfect and imagine was loved by the non veggie friends too. Oh yes how can i miss… I was the only hardcore vegetarian amongst the bunch of carnivores, but see for your self as you read along how well I survived.

Standing up to my vegetarianism guess where I made all of them stop. GHAAS PHOOS- Veg with an edge. This one really raises your eye and is a must stop for food lovers. Everything here is meat and dairy free. I took their veg platter to try all of it at once 😉 It includes the Chubby cheek – smoky galauti kebab sandwitched between soft kulchaas, Chilly bowl- their house chillie served with jalapeno rice and nachos, Chocolate wont-tons – crispy pastry filled with gooey goodness of dark chocolate. All of them together made a perfect combo with an extra point to their chubby cheek, it was to die for. I dint really expect the carnivore partners to have much but to my surprise they hogged it all.

Then came the NYC-PIE. Friends their veg pizza is a must have. This stood out majorly because of the statement from one of the non veggies side “The veg pizza is better than the pepperoni”  The non veggie foodies happily agreed to disagree but could not resist trying it. It was a perfect combo of veggies, thin crust base and the magic of spicy sauce which made it stood out of all the pizzas I have had so far. Man i was loving all the attention to myself and to the vegetarian food. Hahaha. Not that I m biased but it was maddening to see hard core non veggies hogging on veg 😉 I couldn’t believe the sight.

Then the walk in attempt to digest lead us to Guilty Pleasures. These sinful jars full of different flavours stop you by their side. The one stood out for me was their Deconstructed Opera…. Yum… These can be finished there or packed for home . You certainly will end up fighting up for space in your tummy to have it all 🙂 If you love the sinful combination of chocolate and coffee, this is it.They are part of Nawabi- will help you locate them better and take away some sinful guilts.

Hmmm… well wll well… the next stop was quiet a stop.. SMOKEYS. We chilled here with individual drinks and food for all…. Hahaha…. No that means that one order led to the other and everyone had their individual dish to finish. The carnivores got glued to their big daddy, super boy, mammas boy… while I choose the Curried vegetable burger….. The burger buns are huge and loaded with patty on to inside. The food here is delicious, satiating for tummy and value for money.

For these to fio to town hall to zambar to shiv sagar to many many more…. people rush like I have rushed writing this one for you all. You still have two days to tickle your taste buds and giving your tummys the best. Go for it.
