Happy Birthday Miss Foodies – Fantastic 4 – Mango Mousse

Hola!! We are going slow and steady on our blog these days as our bundle of joys keeping us really really busy ๐Ÿ˜‰ But nevertheless guess what? It’s our 4th anniversary!! Wooohooo :). I still remember those initial days when we were posting our first blog and we had butterflies all over our stomach! How me and Parul waited for that one like for our blog! I had a sleepless night and Parul would be eating up my head as usual. Haha. Kidding!! But we were jumping the very next day when we saw likes increasing from 10 to 20 to 30 to 40 and so on! And we managed to get nearly 500 in our first year!! Kudos to us. Gosh I still get goosebumps remembering that. So for our Fantastic Fourth anniversary we have a very quick, simple and yummy recipe for all our followers.

It’s called the Mango Mousse. Its an eggless recipe and we have not even used gelatin for preparing it and yet it sets so perfectly as you can see!

Just a perfect treat for veggie lovers on hot day. I know the name mango in itself is so appetising in summers! This mango mousse is light creamy and heavenly with the gorgeous aroma and color of mango. #foodgasm# We have used grated chocolate as a topping but you can use dry fruits or any other innovative topping that you wish to put! And I can be so sure the you will try your hands on it even in this soaring heat. So let’s get going:)

Isn’t it the easiest recipe to satisfy your sweet tooth! It’s indeed on the top of our summer menu these days as it is the best thing to have for your perfect dinners. Serve in shot glasses and see your guests drooling over and enjoy the compliments.

From getting started with our blog as a fun activity and because of our love for food TO ย lots and lots of cooking and sharing recipes with you all TO feeling excited seeing number of likes increase, encouraging comments TO getting connected to you all – our foodie friends and food bloggers who are crazy for food just like us TO the unforgettable Miss foodies Bangkok trip ๐Ÿ™‚ TO associating with FBAI and very like minded and experienced people from food industry TO Food bloggers meet TO Reviewing Restaurants has made the journey beautiful and left an urge for cooking more sharing more, experiencing more, Reviewing more ๐Ÿ˜‰

Was it all so easy? Hmmm let us put a thought to that ๐Ÿ™‚ Before we start to begin let us tell you that we could have actually shared some amazing recipe with you all.. May be a cake saying Happy Birthday ๐Ÿ™‚ or something else.. In fact many ideas passed our mind, special cake was also one of them ๐Ÿ˜‰ Lolโ€ฆ.. Lets do this, lets do that, lets prepare some awesomeness ๐Ÿ™‚ and so on. But nothing really worked out. We wondered why? But may be its now, at this hour of the night 00:48 as per IST on 3rd may 2014 that we have the answer. Pretty tired, may be half asleep, in deep thoughts ๐Ÿ™‚ Chatting and typing whatever is coming to our minds and sharing with you all ๐Ÿ™‚ May be this is how it was meant to be ๐Ÿ™‚ ย let us go back in time a little and try to take you through our journey ๐Ÿ™‚

So it all started a year back.. somewhere around the month of Feb or March as far as we remember when we both pushed ourselves to utilize our tiempo libre (free time ๐Ÿ™‚ ) in doing something much more constructive ๐Ÿ™‚ the major reason was this but what really pushed us was our love for cooking and savouring new cuisines and dishes ๐Ÿ™‚ The idea of having our own food blog came out well and too good to be true ๐Ÿ™‚

Once we were clear with what we really need to do, we started to work for finding the name and designing it ๐Ÿ™‚ After thinking of lots of names and checking on availability we hooked on to โ€œMiss Foodiesโ€. The punch line was obvious as we used n number of times โ€œ Whatโ€™s cooking missy ๐Ÿ˜‰ โ€œ

The major role was obviously played by our Editor, our very own friend and Parulโ€™s better half ๐Ÿ™‚ Ankit Batra who helped us through. He made the blog what it is today. We ate his head way too much as we both were so excited and looking forward to get going. Truly said he is our Eagle eye ๐Ÿ™‚ We adore him and love him and thank him ๐Ÿ™‚ While he helped us through taking care of the most important part that is the backend, we both spent most of our time cooking in the kitchen ๐Ÿ™‚ Selecting recipes, building of our own, taking in puts from our Moms, cooking, experimenting and what not ๐Ÿ™‚ Sakshi mastered cooking undoubtedly and I mastered the tasting bit ๐Ÿ™‚ ย Lol… true Parul ๐Ÿ™‚ There was work..lots of workโ€ฆ and then came this fine day a year back 3rd May 2013 wherein we published our first post ๐Ÿ™‚ Hereโ€™s a glimpse of it :

In Fact hardly slept I guess ๐Ÿ™‚ After sometime of publishing our first post we were pretty excited noticing the likes and to top it were food blogger friends who boosted our energies liking the post ๐Ÿ™‚ Irony is this very night after an year feels the same ๐Ÿ˜‰ hardly sleeping and talking to all of you out there out of excitement ๐Ÿ™‚ then began the era of posts after posts ๐Ÿ™‚ Our love for cooking was driving us crazy. But we too realized grooming our other skills as well ๐Ÿ™‚ One of them being our love for Food Photography ๐Ÿ™‚ Hereโ€™s a glimpse:

Wowโ€ฆfeel so proud ๐Ÿ™‚ Then came a phase when we started reviewing food places we loved and cherished while travelling. Made our blog informative letting you all know which place is a must visit for good food ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope you all remember us sharing Pancakes on the rocks- Sydney , Sky Bar- Bangkok ๐Ÿ™‚ But to our surprise the journey of reviewing took our whole experience a notch up where started meeting lot others from food industry , fantastic and ย like minded people. Began the era of learning much more and still continuing. Associating with FBAI and receiving appreciation for the restaurant review gave us a feeling of awesomeness ๐Ÿ™‚ The era of bloggers meet began. To top it all we were invited by restaurants to taste some good food and ย share our experience and keeping our fingers crossed for lot more coming our way ๐Ÿ™‚ The experience of tasting good food, savouring on to flavours, discovering best dishes and mock tails made all the effort worth it ๐Ÿ™‚ Experiences like the ones at Monkey bar, GourmetItUp, Olive Bistro and many more have really left us with belief in thought โ€œGood work bears great fruitsโ€. Well theres lot more to look forward to as this is just the beginningโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆHeres a glimpse of our Restaurant Reviews:

Friends its not easy to sum up the journey in just a post. Just making an effort and feeling awesome going back in the memory lane ๐Ÿ™‚ And yes thereโ€™s another skill we have seen ourselves getting better at ๐Ÿ™‚ Writing skills ๐Ÿ™‚ The best of example is a poem Parul wrote for our post of Womenโ€™s day special this year ๐Ÿ™‚ Femina-the leading womens magazine brand in the country, liked it and shared it on their fb page just recently ๐Ÿ™‚ You know how many likes and comments she got in just last five daysโ€ฆโ€ฆ.. have a look at this screen shotโ€ฆ..

OMGโ€ฆ.โ€ฆ But it came out well and touched thousands of hearts ๐Ÿ™‚ So havenโ€™t we groomed ourselves in so many way and achieved so much in our beautiful journey ? Yes we have and this gives us immense encouragement to cook more, live more, experience more, Review much more ;)โ€ฆโ€ฆ because as we say โ€ฆ. Its just the beginningโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ.. To the journey we call โ€œlegenโ€ฆ..wait for itโ€ฆ.daryโ€ฆโ€ฆ. legendary ๐Ÿ™‚ โ€œ
